About us……..

We’re a 7-piece Black Country pub rock band……..we play a mix of rock, blues, soul and country rock and we aim to get people singing, dancing and having a good time.

It all started when……..

The founding members of the band convinced the landlord of the Waggon & Horses, Halesowen to start a jam night.  When no musicians turned up, the thought they’d better have a go at playing!  And so it went for a few weeks.

The Waggon shut for refurbishment and the band moved the jam night to the Vine in Lyde Green, Cradley. Other members joined until there was a full complement of 7, with 3 vocalists, an acoustic, rhythm and lead guitarist, a harmonica player, a bass player and a drummer. 

This was the creation of one of the Black Country's best pub rock groups. Slowly they became the accomplished band they are today. The Shambolics are known for their high octane, energetic live shows. 

Shambolics ale ……

Scott Povey of Fixed Wheel Brewery, Shell Corner approached The Shambolics with a view to producing an ale for the band. When asked to describe the qualities of their favourite beers the band came up with a strong hoppy flavour, a full bodied amber ale and a good session ale. Scott incorporated all of these characteristics to make what would become the fastest selling ale in the brewery's history and a magnificent brew.
